Sometimes, life can be completely overwhelming. We feel the weight of the world coming down on us and our minds quickly begin to swim in the deep end of fear and doubt. We doubt if we can manage one more thing; if we can make it through; if it will ever get better. Real or imagined obstacles seem to be around every corner and stress is coming at us from all directions. The mind chatter is relentless and it feels like there is no way to quiet the beast. You are not alone.
Allow yourself to feel it all; the frustration, the anger, the sadness and yes, even the pangs of self pitty that may begin to surface. It's ok. Give yourself permission to feel the cascade of emotions and let them pour out from you. Give voice to them; all of them. This is never a sign of weakness. It is simply a reminder that we are human with a myriad of conscious and subconscious complexities. What's important is that we do not allow ourselves to stay in this state. Once released, reign in those wild thoughts, tame your mind and bring it back to centre, that place of calm where peace resides. When we put ourselves in the power position by changing our thinking and our focus, our energy shifts and things begin to change around us and within us.
As we speak of the darkness and despair, we automatically begin to discharge the fear, allowing us to refocus, re-evaluate and rebuild our 5 Pillars of Transformation. When we instill TRUST, ACCEPTANCE, GRATITUDE and COMMITTMENT we will always be LIBERATED!
Learn more about my 5 Pillars of Transformation and how I used them to begin living my best life, free of fear and falsehoods, in my recently published memoir “My Missing Peace.”
